about

- All proceeds from the sales of the 'Bravo Troll Reworks EP' will be donated directly to The BULLY Project Australia -

Bravo Troll continues Mathas’ exploration of the world around him, written on a 1979 Yamaha Electone C-35 Organ and recorded through a single stage microphone; Bravo Troll explores the folklore of the troll.

“Once upon a time the Troll would hide under the bridge and threaten you on your way to the greener grass on the other side. Little has changed, only nowadays his intentions are a little less obvious."

LYRICS:

the fun police
the knowing knights of the bummer
the basement rats of the drama
the karma keepers
corroding rust on the armour
energy leeches of the herd and the farmer
you pay your toll
billy goats gruff with a thirst
to see the greener side of life up on that side of the turf
the modern troll
and his hunger for blood that’ll see you dragged under the bridge
and your name through the mud

the keyboard seagulls
the savage peck of depression
the modern merchants of lesson
the human eaters
stretch out your guts for the wrestle
nestle in, make their bed in your vessel
etch their initials on your territory bubble
huddle scrum into formation
belly’s rumble off the rubble and the broken
I hope you’re coping
with every critic now invisible but vocal

never coming face to face with em
they’ll watch you feed though
they’ll let you stuff your face in fistfuls til your super ego
be building rich off all that critical blah
that acclaim will rush in veins til your firewall is armed
you learnt your methods well
vindicated swell of aggression
any less is underestimate of call and oppression
aid and abetting the little devil whispering petty
into the earlobe of any painter, brush at the ready
you got lost in it, tossed around by it, took a knock for it,
rocking honest out the fucking box for it,
sound of god in it and god damn it I’ll be damned if that aint honest to god
it’s in the second when you hit a chord and know that its on
the room owing to the moon glowing
mind gremlin back flourishing in gizmode
and pretty whistle drifting all romantic out the blowhole
the finest stream of gold for a hungry little trolldoll to feed on

they’ll poke when you’re weak
seethe under brick and mortar, leaking engine grime
trophies of the gory chorus
suppose that’s just the way we eat here?

pillars of the surface nuisance
pebbles of the colosseum’s fallen kind
creepin’ bout the comment streamin’
suppose that’s just the way we eat here?

cant you see we’re trying to eat here?
